In an attempt to get more of this out there, I figured I would post this here in hopes that we can raise some more money. On June 9th we are going to the Detroit Zoo to do a walk for epilepsy. My 2 1/2 year old niece has epilepsy and the kinds of seizures she has, we don’t really understand and the doctors don’t seem to have those answers either. She stops breathing and her body goes stiff and she can’t be moved. It’s a terrifying thing to see and I can only imagine what it’s like for her. She’s different for the next day or two after each of her seizures and it’s not fair that she or anyone else has to experience things like this.
Our goal is 20 members on our team and to raise at least $500. I would love to exceed each of those goals if possible. I don’t care if only one person reads this and is inspired to donate, I’ll do what it takes to support research/experiences that could make her life or someone elses life better.
